B*Tru Arts Social and Digital Media Internship

B*TRU ARTS, an Austin based multicultural non-profit and Performing Arts Academy is looking for talented, motivated and hardworking Interns for the Summer/Fall & Spring semesters.

SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION 
The Social and Digital Media Intern will play an active role in the development of B*Tru Arts’ online community.The intern will maintain B*Tru Arts’ presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to the company’s mission and community. They will also analyze and report on the activity on social media networks as well as the B*Tru Arts website. The intern will also assist in maintaining the website and the archive of digital images, videos and other content. Interns will work directly with the company’s Artistic Director and senior staff. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with minimal supervision to meet deadlines. In return, they will have the opportunity to work closely with upper-level management and earn real-world experience through high-impact projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media
• Updates all social media accounts 
• Responds to posts or comments
• Posts updates, news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content.
• Performs research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to B*Tru Arts’ community and mission.
•Updates Facebook and Twitter accounts with current and relevant photos, video or other content from B*Tru Arts activities and events
• Grows B*Tru Arts online social networks by increasing community engagement
• Maintains current information in Google+ and other online accounts.
• Completes other social media projects as assigned.
Digital Media
• Take/or use the pictures and video from B*Tru Arts events and create content
• Uploads photos and videos to the Drive or Dropbox
• Organizes and archives digital images and videos.
• Completes other digital media projects as assigned
 REQUIREMENTS
* Strong verbal and written communication skills 
* Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
* Strong experience/knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), basic photo editing and video editing, 
* Social Media Savvy 
* Self-motivated, proactive, positive, results-oriented approach to work 
* Must work well in a team environment but also work independently, meeting goals and deadlines with minimal supervision
