Sport Event Assistants & Ambassadors

This position will allow for the selected candidates to gain hands-on experience in the sporting, education and non-profit sectors.  The selected candidates will assist Netball America in helping maintain and grow its expansion of Netball into schools, colleges and after-school programming.  Opportunities for travel also exist.

We need event assistants to help with the physical activity education sessions we run for PE Teachers as we introduce them to the basics of the globally popular sport of Netball (the original women's basketball).  Watch this 2-minute intro to Netball.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the head Ambassador or Coach leading the session or event.
• Help with equipment organization and setup at event.  Follow a checklist of what to do.
• Obtain signups from participants.
• Hand out flyers and other giveaways.
• Take photos and capture interviews with participants.
• If you want to learn to be PE Teacher Ambassador, you'll learn the basic ball handling skills and drills to assist the Head Coach in running of the program.

This is an opportunity to get trained to help in future events and perhaps even lead events as a PE Teacher Ambassador.  

We do events all throughout the year (typically they are during a weekday) and could be either virtual or in person.  We also have promotional events where we use Ambassadors to work at our booth.  Opportunities are posted here.  https://netballamerica.com/careers-volunteering/

• Responsible to perform tasks assigned and follow checklists, curriculum or agendas.
