Graphic Designer Internship
THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP
Graphic Designer Internship – Assist the Marketing and Communications Team with day-to-day graphic design needs of the chapter. The intern will support the ideation and execution of creative concepts, strategies, and campaigns while bringing new ideas and innovative solutions to the table. The intern will also design and produce a variety of visually appealing artwork for web, social media, email, and print while assisting the graphic designer with other requests as directed. Additional responsibilities include ensuring all projects and assets are accurate and aligned with enterprise guidelines, mission, vision and values; researching/gathering relevant information and creative techniques to support the design process and the execution of requests; and communicating with team members with transparency regarding project deliverables.
Candidates *MUST* include a portfolio of work to be considered — PDF samples or website portfolio are acceptable.
Intern must be able to complete 20 hours per week (hybrid position) at the Dallas office.
Skills needed for this role:
Must be proficient/advanced in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Relevant design experience (marketing experience a plus)
Excellent attention to detail

Learn about the importance of collaboration in creating and executing successful marketing campaigns.
Develop an understanding of how design affects the perception and legitimacy of the Make-A-Wish brand in the minds of our target audiences.
Learn new programs or skills to implement new social media strategies and/or create new visual content (i.e. videos, gifs, presentations, etc.)
Skillfully distill ideas and important messaging into concise designs while maintaining brand standards and thoughtful respect for our wish families.
Design for a wide range of media, learning the proper process and the nuances between designing for each medium.
