Agriculture Intern (Volunteer/Internship Role)
About the Role:
The Agriculture Intern will explore how food, sustainability, and culture connect within our community. This role focuses on researching agricultural practices, testing small-scale projects, and brainstorming creative ways to engage youth in learning about food systems, sustainability, and community gardening.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on sustainable agriculture and culturally rooted food practices
Develop and test lesson plan ideas that introduce students to gardening and agriculture
Assist with designing activities that connect food to leadership, culture, and community well-being
Collaborate with mentors, educators, and youth to make agriculture engaging and accessible
Document findings and share creative approaches for future program use
