Production & Administration Internships
Casa Mañana seeks passionate, curious and committed high school and college students (ages 16 and up) to be interns for Summer 2024. Interns will work alongside theatre professionals in various departments.
Administration Internships are available in:
- Education
- Working alongside the Education Manager; working on the summer camps, administrative tasks, prepping for Fall classes and the liaison between the counselors and the Education Manager and Director of Camp.
- Company Management
- Help the Company Manager with various administrative tasks including, but not limited to: scanning, making copies, stocking the studios, organizing the studios, creating goody bags for the traveling actors and designers, setting up for auditions, help run auditions, learn what its like to work with actors and designers, etc. Company Manager interns will also have the opportunity to see rehearsals, dress rehearsals and design runs.
Interns will work alongside professionals in Casa Mañana's Administration. The intern will report to the Head of the Departments, depending on what department they're placed in.
- Interns will directly report to the Department Head.
- Interns will/be able to attend our bi-weekly staff meetings on Tuesdays
- Interns will also meet with the Department Head in the middle of their internship and then again at the end in December to discuss their experience and progress.
- Gaining experience in arts administration
- Assisting other departments in Casa Mañana as needed
- Education Interns may be able to extend their internship into the Fall Semester
Interns will be hired between May 20 and August 4, depending on their availability. Please see the Summer Show Schedule below.

Administrative Intern schedules are flexible and will be determined on a case by case basis. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Weekend hours may apply depending on the department.
Interns may earn school or course credit. Interns may also be able to sit in on rehearsals, and productions of our mainstage shows.
Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from Casa Mañana.
Applicants must provide a resume of theatre work and/or leadership experience with at at least one letter of recommendation. The application also includes a 300-word personal statement discussing why you want to work at Casa Mañana, your strengths and career goals.
Complete internship applications contain an application form and a letter of recommendation. Ask a teacher or coach who knows you well to write a brief recommendation for you. You may either upload the letter into your application or have your recommender email education@casamananana.org – please include ‘INTERNSHIP APPLICATION’ and your name in the subject line.
Qualifications:
-High school and college students, as well as recent graduates with a bachelors or certificate degree, are encouraged to apply.
-Experience working with Microsoft office a plus (Word, Excel, etc.). Experience working in a non-profit or a theatre is also a plus.
